[VIDEO[: George Afriyie rallies support for Black Stars to beat Nigeria

Ghanaian football administrator, businessman and current owner of the Susubribi Sporting Club, George Afriyie has called on all Ghanaians to massively support the Black Stars ahead of the FIFA World Cup playoffs match with Nigeria.

According to the former GFA Vice President, it doesn’t matter the failures that the team has encountered recently. Rather, he says, it’s time to show the world that we are the black stars and it’s an opportunity to market the team once again.

“Fellow football-loving fans, fellow Ghanaian football-loving fans, this is another big opportunity for us to show massive support for the Black Stars. Remember, there is only one Black Stars. We are the black stars of Africa. Irrespective of whatever anybody says … irrespective of our recent participation and failures, this is another big opportunity for us to eliminate Nigeria,” he said in a video seen by Aniwaba.

“Let us all be in our national colours on Friday and also come paint the Baba Yara Sports Stadium red, gold and green,” he added

The Black Stars will host the first playoff match at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in  Kumasi on March 25, 2022.
