Man in Ashaiman manufactures ‘Spider’ motorbike

An Ashaiman man by name Ibrahim Smaila popularly known as Ibrahim Spider has manufactured a unique motorbike christened “Spider”.

Sharing his story in an interview with Step One TV’s Emmanuel Agyemang on Tuesday, October 19, Ibrahim Spider said he went into mechanics at a tender age first repairing bicycles.

“I started producing a motorbike like this [the Spider] two years ago and I bring out my own design just as the one you see,” he said.

The inventor said, he only buys the engine of his motorbikes and some other “few” parts and develops and molds the rest. He indicated that it takes him at most two weeks to manufacture one motorbike and that if he has the needed resources and finance, he could produce more.
