Ghana and South Africa have signed an agreement allowing ordinary passport holders from both countries to travel under a visa-free regime.
This was contained in a press statement issued by Ghana’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration on October 13, 2023. The agreement will take effect on November 1, 2023.
“Travellers may transit through, depart from, and stay in the territory of both countries for a cumulative period of up to ninety (90) days without recourse to work,” the statement said.
